On Hiatus

I often found myself glued to my phone first thing in the morning, through out the day, and at the end of the night before bed.  Chris and I would wake up and go to sleep glued to our screens.  Seeing him super stressed from work, I told myself to do a social media cleanse so that I could really enjoy our quick vacation to the desert.  It was exactly what I needed — a reminder to focus on the now.

I've been on a bit of a hiatus cleansing myself from my dependence and addiction to social media the past week and it was exactly what my soul needed.  The world has changed from when I grew up on library runs and going outside was a treat versus having books easily available on my library app to the indoors lifestyle of movie apps.  I want to be more proactive at doing, making, and being rather than the incessant need for public validation but rather finding my balanced place.  The now is not as long and much as we think we have so I want every breath and step I take to count 🦕✨❤️.

I want to live my passions and focus on the things that I love while giving social media minimal priority.
